E_americanus;2028662; said:earthworms may work, but you would have to cut them up...gars are sometimes confused by worms since they have an odd shape for a small gar to take. i would suggest pieces of raw fish, or whole frozen silversides. you can make them 'move' for the gar by sticking them on the end of a piece of rigid acrylic tubing (or any other plastic stick)...this often works to entice the gars to strike--
