Gentle Giants

In a 90 gallon tank, a fish might not reach 12 -14 inches, but that doesn't mean it's going to be significantly stunted if it maxes out at 10 inches. Not all fish have to reach the max size - they don't in the wild. Various factors will influence how big a fish grows just like with any animal. A barn yard cat for example won't reach the same size as a cat living indoors and getting the best of food, doesn't mean the outdoor cat is automatically malnourished and mistreated.

go a little bigger in terms of tank size, or upgrade, and something like pearsei would be a nice choice too, or even bay snooks

I use to keep 5 jacks, 2x oscars, 1x pink convict pair in the 90 I had....never really had any problems just thought they need more space so i got a 120

I think the two oscars with the convict pair would've been fine in the 90 tho

Look at the JDM keepers, with a tank that big you could keep a pair of almost all the Central Americans.

You would be their English hero. You could call it an EDM, the English version.

Make it a coldwater tank and "evolve" your cichlids to that enviroment. Better yet.

:naughty:

Angels? Not quite giant, but neither is a 90. An Amazon themed tank would be nice!

Go with a pair of sevs or Uaru. A chocolate pair might also work but they are not nearly as peaceful ad people make them out to be from my experience. Both Uaru and severums get suprisingly big. They are really tall bodied and an adult of either fills out a 90g better then a more slender fish like a chocolate.

I tried severums and Uaru in my 90 (at different times). They were barely 7-8" but I already felt that the tank was too small.....so I wouldn't suggest anything bigger.

I do agree with Chris tho - get some nice plants and angels....that's what I'm doing now and it looks good :D
