uaru

sevs grow too slow in my exerience (which make the larger ones, 8+ inches, rare and wonderful to look at)

u can grow out some uaru in no time.

Eh it depends, my 2 sevs went from penny size to 7" or so in a year, that's not too bad. Since then they've added 1" maybe but they're thicker.

If you do that I would get at least 5 of whatever geo you pick, they are more interesting in a larger group and you'll see more natural behavior; I currently have 4 S. jurupari and really want to add 2 more.

The A. heckelli suggested above are really striking fish and would fit the bill, but bear in mind if you pick them they can and will eat small fish, so a tetra school of some kind would be out; severums or uaru won't do that.

cool so i could have say 5 geophagus and 2 severums in my 90 for now and that should be fine? Whats the biggest fish a thread-fin would take at full size? What about firemouths? How would they interact with the severums?

Thanks for all the help
Matt

Firemouth might cause some stress. My firemouth killed my gold severum. Well I think he did. lol came back and it was belly up with eye balls missing. Grew the severum to 3" also.
