I somewhat disagree Joe. My two pairs are kept in a 90gal, which is in a home that doesn't have A/C. Every summer, when the tank temp goes near 85F, both pair will ALWAYS spawn.

either way Rio Tapajos doesn't change year round. so i find it pointless to try and induce a "stress spawn" this way.

i also keep my SA tanks at 80 year round , don't ya think it would be better to have normal spawning conditions year round rather then trying to induce a stress spawn.

i wont induce any spawns with my Rio Xingu Altifrons, and they will thank me for it in the end with 1000's of fry :headbang2

Agreed bro.

Between the two pair, I average 2 spawns per month regardless. Thanks to you bud.;)

All right thanks for the tips. Ill try and feed blood worms right now. I will be back in around 5-6 minutes to tell you how it goes.

Success!

Not to high on the krill tho...

Wow nice! How big are they?

I saw some Jurupari for 6 dollars at 2". Good price? There was only two...

Wow that sounds cool. Should I also try and feed them meal worms, or are blood worms at shrimp pellets good?
