Wow that sounds cool. Should I also try and feed them meal worms, or are blood worms at shrimp pellets good?

I just fed Hikari blood worms, i would buy in the flat packs and NLS small fish formula

Ok cool to know. For the bw, how often should I feed those to condition them for breeding?

Tapajos are pigs but then again so are all Geo's i would feed a couple times a day. just watch them and see what they can eat without leaving food in the tank.

Ok good tip. Ill try twice a day, so Ill feed again right before I go to bed. If all goes as planned, and with 30% w/c twice weekly, how long until fry should be here?

i cant awnser that, they will have fry when they are ready, you just have to provide them with the right conditions and when they are ready they will be ready and it may take a few spawns for them to get it right. :)

Ok I will definatly let you guys know if anything happens. Thanks for the tips Joefish, I appriciate it. If there is anything else just let me know. Thanks again. :)

I dont remember how big mine were when i sold them to Tony. but i have seen them push up to 7-8" before, they came from the shed aquarium. biggest i have seen of this variant. so with the right size tank and years of patience your bound to get them large as well. i have grown out fry that i had spawning in less then 2 years.
