I agree just behind the much rarer Geophagus SP Areos.:D
Rarer... But not even close to as nice as the Orange heads... Seriously ;)

I'm glad they're doing well, I'll have to come over somtime to take a look at em' - buy you lunch or somth'n haha.

I agree, orange heads are some of the best looking, if not the best looking geophagus out there - top it off with their peaceful temprement and smaller size and it's a winning combination.

aznkewlguy,

First, your geos look good and I like the setup too! Second, if you have another tank with a white substrate or just a lighter substrate then try moving the redheads to it, TRUST ME. The dark gravel/sand really drowns out the colors, of course lighting has an affect also.

What I'm trying to say is my avatar pic was taken of my male on pool filter sand and I recently moved him to another tank with that black plant substrate(I forgot the brand) and you wouldn't beleive it is the same fish if I posted a pic right now. If you ever get the chance to change out your substrate, that is if your keeping the geos, then try something lighter, I know you'll like it.;):)

Jamie

i actually have a 20g with VERY fine white sand but i have 4 very small g. pindares in there to grow out.

They're in super high demand right now bro, keep an eye out on AquaBid. Last time they were up I managed to get 50 peices for around $190 shipped if memory serves me right. You just have to buy from breeders in bulk and make your money back selling them off.

If I can ever find the time to ship I'll hit you up! Right now I'm just selling them to several LFS, Redheads that is.

I also have a pair of Rio Tocantins that have been chasing all my others away so I'm hoping they plan on laying some eggs very soon!!! We'll see!:)

Also rio tocacathns is a columbian species yes, i my areos were collected from Brazil. I know they did i saw the order form.

The Rio Tocantins is a tributary/river which runs through Brazil, hence the name. Same fish mate, quit pretending they aren't.

have finally decided to comment on japes and boggies fish feud lol

Japes is right though, (and 99.9 percent right the rest of the time lol) when it comes to SA Cichlids, guy knows his stuff

"The Rio Tocantins is a tributary/river which runs through Brazil, hence the name. " Also right
still boggy whole salers wil still just make the name prettier so it will sell, we get stuff internationally all the time and they do the same exact thing, same fish
