i was going to rag on the pink gravel but i see you took it out lol
i also have one of those docks the only thing i dont like about them is there hard to clean
and good luck with your tank im sure your turtles will love it
thanks.. yes the good info i received here was enough to scrap the gravel... i will add some large rocks among some plants etc.. so the bottom won't be completly bare.. thanks for tip about the dock.. i will be prepared.. :D

o yeah i wanted to get the zoo med turtle docks but i came upon these arcylic turtle in my LFS for the hatchlings, only down side to these is that the green padding over time may wear out.

I take care of hundreds of turtles. I love the turtle docks. They should work great for your turtles. Its the big and I mean foot long turtles they do not work well for.

Thanks....yes i would amagine they would be too big and too heavy and better off with just building up a rock ledge or something for the big guys...

thanks Coura... they are definitly sweet ...what happened to the one you lost... any tips would always be appreciated..
She hibernated like usual but never woken. She died wille on letargy:cry: I cant afort to lose the other so I will keep her indoors for the winter:)

Very nice Liz, can't wait to see the finished product. Your guys should be alright with the turtle dock for quite awhile, my YBS sinks it a little bit and he's bigger than any painted I've ever seen either in the wild or in a tank.

They've grown a lot and look very healthy, nice work. They can be a bit delicate as hatchlings but it looks like yours are well on the way to being nice healthy turtles. :)
