#2...

great pic BTW... then you add the beads in the corners and your done, but you have to get clamps, do what i do when i need something, but it from homedepot then return it once done ^_^

like i said in the pm, make sure that you use notched framing squares to make sure that its all square.... those pics alone make this thread sticky worthy...

edit: i didnt realize that, this also means that you can go hight if you want, because the tank will only be half filled, aslong as you make sure that it will never be filled more then 12-18" you can go 24" tall, its a half aquarium and half terrarium, you can even keep some newts or tree frogs that way..., just aslong as you feed your turtls well ;)

alright in pic #2 after i lay all the beads then press the sides together ofcourse some is going to squeeze out into the inside of the tank right now do i leave it there to dry then razor blade it off then bead all the seams v shape

no no no.... you want there to be sillicon inbetween the joints where the glass meets but you also at this point want to do the V, while its all wet, once you have the inside all done you can come to the outside and wipe off the excess...., OH before you do any silliconing you need to wipe it all down with aciton and rubbing alchahol to det any and all oil and dirt off, even iff it looks clean it must still be wipped off, an excess of fingerprints could cause the silicon not to bond to the glass....

so #1) get clamps, aceitone, rubbing alchihol and framing squares(anything to ensure that everything is good and square)

2) make your cuts as needed, then rub it all down and make sure its clean

3) lay the pieses out like in the pic.

4) apply a thin bead like in the pic.

4) have a friend and put up the front and back, then the sides, clamp lightly

5) square it all off, make sure its not in a dimond shape and all edges are at 90*, from bace to walls and fron to sides, once it is, Clamo it all down harder...

6) tape the edges, and sillicon the inside of the tank to ensure a good bond useing your wet finger to press the silicon into the seem, you want a 1/4" on each side.

7) let dry for 1-2weeks

8) install braces.

or do i brace it like this with 2 long strips for the length and then to smaller ones for the sides now im not sure but it looks like the side strips rest under the long strips correct?

I would prolly go for the 1st one as you want as much strength as possible. The 2nd option is easier, cleaner etc but not you may have to use more silicone.
