Going down the poly worm hole…

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thats insane...
I keep 8 inch polys with 22 inch ones no prob.
Crazy to think he ate a fish over half his size.
Agreed… def. a surprise, but i been in long enough to know it happens… been a while tho lol… bit salty he ate the nicest looking endli i had. Usually how it goes. U can’t pick favorites its bad luck ??. PBB #3 in particular is my most agro, hes the one who bites my siphon hose or comes after my hand in the tank. Pretty amazing he got em down the hatch “comfortably”

That's the problem with cohabitating multiple predators, or multiple aggressive bruisers. It works out fine for days, weeks, months, maybe years...and then one day you find this...and there's no going back.

At least with mega-mouths like apurensis or RTC's or others of that ilk, it's never really a complete surprise...you just sort of admit that you always kinda expected it to happen. But these guys just don't have that "look".

That's a bitter pill. :(
Agreed, i still keep majority solo specimen tanks here. Thought id have some “fun” after all these yrs with multiples in a tank lol… u hit the nail on the head for sure. They just don’t have that “look”. I def. Underestimated them. Seen it too many times to be upset, just amazed really haha. Polys def. deserve their “light” as a predator.

Bit of a surprise during my morning “turd removal” services today ??… initially had a scare of bloat… took me a cple seconds to realize the more probable cause ??… PBB #3 had a taste for Endli… 15” PBB vs. 8” Endli ?‍♂️… #Cannibal … Looks like i need to get the 500 ready for the biggens sooner than expected. -1 to the pile… wish he could have at least eaten the CB over the WC tho lol…

Pretty drastic transformation already ??… absolutely love these PBB even tho they don’t exist scientifically ? lol… i seem to favor my original specimen. Darker overall now, bit thicker bodied and fatter pattern. Odd one of the 3 i received. The amount of food they consume is pretty crazy. Ive upped their
intake to as much as possible twice a week after an endli was turned to calcium poop lol…

Looking good! Their colors should continue to change some more in the next few weeks! Should be interesting to see how much they change.
