Golden Gar!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
He doesn’t know the value of the fish he kills so can you really blame him? That’s like any of us killing lizards for a living and we kill a lizard that’s worth 100k to the right buyer, we didn’t know since we’re fish keepers not reptile keepers. Well most of us anyway.
We live in the age where knowledge is at our fingertips, yet humans are stupider than any point in history, knowing the consequence of your actions is the very first thing you should learn.

For example : you eat random fruit or berries.
Result: you get ill or die.

Or you touch exposed electrical wires.
Possible result:you get electrocuted.

Knowledge is power, he who uses it well is wise, he who has it but doesn't use it is a fool, and he who does not have knowledge at all is lost.

Damn, one would think that the local fishing authorities would put something in place to educate the anglers for conservation's sake.....unless they have and are being disregarded and ignored.
For the most part they don't even address it, they only seem to monitor sport fish, even though many "rough fish" such as gar, mullet and drum are important to ecosystems, for example drum eat snails that carry parasites that infect other fish and frogs, and therefore reduce these parasites, yet by many they are considered trash fish still.

I saw a white 3+ft channel catfish in a lake, is it worth anything or a rare sight?
Nah not worth much if a channel, they can be had cheap captive bred, however piebald channels or bluecats are rarer.

List of fish that can be worth a bit:
Xanthic and platinum gar
Melanistic alligator gar
Xanthic lmb or smb bass
Albino pike or muskie
Xanthic crappie
Blue phase yellow perch
Emerald or turquoise pike
Melanistic esox

Hi good friend sir, don’t forget the platinum Coho Salmon, the golden/xanthic coelacanth, purple barramundi, and etc.. I bet they fetch more than a house

Huh what are the odds of two of these guys being caught in the same week.

Probably not worth 50k but a decent chunk of money. vincentwugwg vincentwugwg would be the guy to ask on value.

Last I heard $7000 was the it price when I was looking for one. Please tell me you kept this fish. With them being bred in captivity now I imagine the price eventually dropping To around 2-3G each.
