That is amazing... what size tank was he in... i cannot amagine a arowana with no weighted down top to his tank... they almost always jump at anything... and just for the heck of it... i have to be careful of mine when i wear red or orange... he will get into a curled up position and look like he is ready to sail... i always leave the room and go change rather then take the chance...and here is this arow in a barber shop with people coming and going and no top on the tank... wow... and no drop eye problems... maybe they need to look out and up... maybe they should invent a big bubble top for them... give them some jumping room...

he was in a 720l or 190g tank in the barber shop. Ill see if i can snap some pics of him when i go see my mate.. Only problem with him is that he damage his barbels the day after he moved to my friend. Think he was stressed or so. My silver aro always slam the glascover when hes going bezerk for food. I use a big stick thing so i can feed my rays in the tank. He would take all the food before it sunk otherwise. And this mongo silver is attacking the stick all the time and still manage to steal the food out of the "jaw" on the stick :irked: so my diet on him to myabe prevent him from drope eye is hard.

He is the most aggressive arow i have heard of thus far... usually they are very cautious about everything.. sometimes if they are not sure won't even eat.. yours has a unique personality.. i know sometimes it is difficult to feed the bottom dwellers and cave dwellers ... i use those things all the time... sometimes serve them dinner right up to them... talk about spoiled..well keep us posted..mine has lost his barbells too on occasion ..usually from a sudden jump... i would love to see pics..

-Small Update-

Today I was doing a water change the my smaller aro got freaked, jumped and scraped his head pretty good on the hood.
Mine almost 6 years old sailed out of the tank monday while my husband was doing a water change.. all 2 foot plus of him ended up on the carpet.. hubby put him back ... so he was scraped up a bit too... but otherwise looking pretty good considering what could have been,.... i quess we are both lucky it was not worse.. they are so moody sometimes.. :(

Yea Ive had that happen with my bigger guy also...kinda sucks when they get all freaked out

Mine had no DE up until it was about 15"...then it had a few bad jumps into the hood and the DE showed up on the injured side of the head within a day. I have always suspected DE to come from head trauma.

Also...mine has not had another bad head injury since and the DE has remained stable (no worse/better).

Just my $0.02.
