Good to know. Ive always liked them. Still going bichirs as a 1st choice thoFishman Dave had one and mentioned it got 16 in believe.

My friends Tig, that he kept in his Asian aro comm tank. Very fat & overfed, I believe it topped out at 18".
+1, Arowana and Birchir make an awesome ancient fish tank combo.

as long as it can't fit in each other's mouth.. most fishes can comm with aro.... unless you somehow managed to get a psycho aro

Ive never seen anyone have stingrays for substrate instead of sand or gravel bit sometimes gotta be first.
Wait. Are you sure about discus? I thought discus is a very fragile and timid fish and will stay scared all the time? And same for anglefish I guess?
i have no issue to comm the discus/angelfish with the aro, bichir , gar and indo tiger. Had to shift them out when i added peacock bass though
maybe i had tame monsters..... lol
to add on, last week i was given 7 x 5 inches peacock bass which was QT for 2 weeks..... added to the tank and within 5 mins... one was inside my aro mouth, it's the same aro with the discus
Same friend as previous pic that I posted. As I recall he didn't have this comm set up for all that long before he swapped the discus out for the carpet of rays. Personally I would not recommend discus with aros. Tank was 8x4 ft.
