Growing up blue

Upgraded to a 90g tank last night, whoa that was a lot of work switching over.

Everything is set up and the fish are in their new home.

I did drop a filter and broke the casing, so I will be looking for a replacement filter here ASAP, I got sick of everything after it broke so I left all the media in the filter and submerged it in the old tank water, hopefully the B.B. survive until I get a new filter.

Need to buy a new background as the tank looks pretty open right now.

Here is he new 90g, picked up an new filter to replace my broken one today.

The HRPs are starting to get their red points, I think there 4 males and one female...

Just need to get a background for it now

Indeed in the one you can see the orange/red starting to show in his tail fin.

4m to 1f ouch poor girl. I would take out the spares after she pics a mate. My one male is pretty hard on the female. I couldn't see her surviving four males.

Yea they are super fun to watch, I’m not positive on the ratios yet, just a guess...three def look like they are getting red points and one is still kind of unknown. I do plan to rehome the ones that don’t pair...I have a tank lined up for a friend that I’m helping get into the hobby so she might take one or two of them....I might grow out another female jack in my spare tank as al isn’t breeding with Peggy, they do everything couples should do except lay eggs...

1) way awsome way to get a friend into the hobby
2) The pair I had was much the same. Did everything breeding pairs normally would, but I never found eggs. Then I mailed the male EB across the country and not 2 days later shacks up with one of YankeeJack 's females. He has 3 spawns from him now....

Yea my office has a 48g tank and stand (though I think bigger) and they are giving it to me for free so I’m giving it to my friend bc I don’t have room for it and who can say no to a free tank and stand lol

Yea little buggers! Funny how a change can cause a spawn!!!

I’m trying everything I can think of, one thing at a time though.

Right now they are on day 4 or 5 of frozen foods, next is a new female.

Just back from a mini weekend vacation, no changes in the JDs

The HRPs seem to have gown over the weekend, the males are starting to get head humps.

Two males in front and potential female in back
Some very nice reds and blues
Potential female, hard to tell still, looks like some orange/yellow in anal fin and I’m just not sure if females get colors in their fins besides blue
