Growths on Arowana?

Hoping someone can help me out here. My asian aro has developed these growths towards his tail. I thought it might be fungal growth but its not white like ich would appear, its the same greyish colour as his scales. Any advise on what it could be/how to treat?

My aro has something very similar to that in the past. This is what I used. Seachem ParaGuard parasite control it worked great.

I have never had that in any of mine but does not look like fungus to me either

I would also try the Paraguard, and see if it will sort it out
