Guess what I got!!

Like I mentioned before, they like snails and eggs to eat too. Ive heard they also eat frogs but thats a bit cruel to the frog.
Im not sure if i would risk feeding him snails from your garden but you should try giving him an egg, it looks freaky as they get the whole thing in their mouth then crush it. Probably start with a smaller sized egg so theres no choking risk, its pretty messy so maybe do it on a day you plan on cleaning up the cage.
I used to give mine eggs, but I cracked it for him

We were just kids, catching them and keeping them for summer, didnt really know what we were doing. But you are probably safer cracking the eggs first, if the lizard isnt used to them there may be a chance of choking. Its cool to watch them crunch them down though, they look like they enjoy doing it and its a nice protein source for them!

Sounds like it would be interesting, I just mixed egg up in whatever I was feeding it. I did the same with my monitors amd tegus

he likes to burrow and I always spend ten minutes trying to find him lol im surprised a crestie would burrow blue tongues like to dig but I never would hae thought an arboreal lizard would dig
That’s the thing...
Crested geckos by nature shouldn’t, but it seems like almost all of them do. Supposedly it is when laying eggs, shedding, or just trying to get some extra warmth or humidity. Part of them just liking to be weird.
