when u say bio media that is the eheim substrate pro u suggested and the bio max that came with the fluval right? and what about the white pads that came with the cascade filter?
and what about any kinda anything to help jump start the bacteria growth in the new filter? and or maybe the cascade thats been running for only bout 3 weeks and if i need to replace/add any substrate pro to that one also will i need anything to help with this one also.. sorry for the rambling if it doesnt make since getting late been reading for houuuuurs now!!
leave you old bio media DONT REMOVE IT infact dont even touch it... any remaining chambers filll with bio media ( yes this is eheim and bio max) as far as the white pads well you need some sort of mechanical filtration...
and for something now i would be adding seachems stability,cycle or another bacteria boost to get you filter up to par and keep it there....

what do u think of the FLUVAL PEAT? is it worth the money to put it inside trays 4,5 of the fluval to try and bring my PH DOWN? if so them i will put it in this order..

tray 4,5 in middle (if i get good responses) will have FLUVAL peat
tray 6,7 at the top i will leave the BIO MAX that came with the filter
which means i will remove the carbon outta tray 2,3,4 and remove the BIO MAX outta tray 5 to do the above mentioned!!

dont mess with your PH...... why would you put the bio max at the top?? just leave it on the bottom so you dont have to remove it from water....

as far as why i would put the BIO MAX at the top? thats where the directions say where to put it when putting it together.
the instructions say
tray 2,3 at the bottom are carbon
tray 4 in the middle is carbon
tray 5 in the middle is BIO MAX
tray 6,7 at the top is BIO MAX
