Help Me Decide on Filtration

Ok so 6x just through the sump alone. I know flow within the tank with a reef is super important. Is it the same or not so much with freshwater?

Your entire tank should filter 6x sn hour through the sump. Flow rate is depended on the type of fish.

Thanks Gill. The flow running through the sump right now seems quite substantial that's why i had asked. I know with my reef tanks i always had slower flow through the sump so the water could take its time running through the filtration.
