Yeah I figured that out quick I have 0-ammonia low nitrates 0-nitrites and my ph is around a 7.4

The only problem is it a plant based food.

It's better than no food. Try to mix it with some cichlid pellets or bloodworms. Jags usually accept bloodworms.

He was probably kept in terrible water there. I would soak quality pellets in boyds vitachem. I'm also a fan of epsom salt soaked pellets as a detox.

Unless you just did a complete water change - you should see some type of nitrate reading.

nitrate should never ever read 0. you are using a API test kit?
