Help sexing peacock cichlid

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes. thanks. It's like non existent there. Weird. Is it in with other peacocks?
I moved him out because he was being aggressive toward my male that was in there, once I moved him, the other new females were aggressive too and now I’m just wondering it was they were new to the tank, not because of it being a male?

Hhm. I think that if you put it with the other fish the vent might come out and then we can see. Just an idea though. (im guessing a transgender female right now. lol)

We got one vote for female one vote for sub male, I’m in the middle on this so it’s at 1.5 to 1.5 vote. If anything at all, what’s the best course of action I can take? Waiting? Putting him with the others? Just trading him?

I don't know. I've never keept africans. I know had to sex fish by their vents (they all are basically the same) and know the slighest little bit about egg spots so Id say to trade it in for a more confirmed female.

sort of looks like a juiced female to me, males tend to show blue on the cheeks before any sign of orange. When females are juiced they show colors in the shoulder. And based on the vent I'd deffaintly lean twords female .

I moved her back into the breeding colony but she’s been super aggressive since last night, any tips?
