Umm..Can I interject a question...Why do you advise against using meds? Is it because there is a chance of creating a "Super Ich" that is antibiotic resistant?

Aquarium salt right and raising temp will not bother the other fish. I raised the temp to 82 and added air stone.

Also I've seen that my I'd sharks have it to there in another tank I've raised temp to 82 and put and air stone in. Should I put salt in there to or buy Meds.

Iv heard all you need to do is raise the temp to 88-90 and your good. Salt helps but I don't think it's a necessity.

No. Sorry. But I guess that answers the question. lol. I actually haven't ventured into FW at all. I bought a friend's salt tank and am figuring that out at the moment. I have a list of FW fish I'd like to have a shot at someday and do like cichla, so I'll just shut up and pay attention.

Don't add the meds just listen to what they are saying temp and salt... It works wonders it is your safest bet.

If you don't have aquarium salt you can use canning/pickling salt from the grocery store. It is the same thing and a lot cheaper.
WHOA...Treat them right away don't wait.
I would do a 90 percent water change, clean and change filter and filter pads, add sea salt, and increase temp. If that does not help go get some ich treatment.
