First you will need to find out if it really has IP's then do a treatment. What color is the pooh? If it's white and stringy then yes your puffer has IP's. If it's black then no it don't. There's a few great products out there. Gel-tek ultra cure: puffers will eat food soaked in this.
Prazipro: If your puffer is not eating it's best to treat the whole tank, they will refuse food soaked in this med.
Jungle fizz tabs: I have heard of other's having success with this but I've never tried it. You treat the tank with this med and also soak food in it.
The way I found out Annabelle had a tapeworm: I took pictures and posted it on ************** it was confirmed. After I got rid of the tapeworm she had an open anus with red strings hanging out (camallanus worms). I had never saw this before. I found a thread on another forum did some research and contacted someone that wrote an article about it. I sent him pictures and he confirmed what she had. It took some harsh meds to treat it but it was a do or die situation. She pulled through and I'm thankful. If you want to see photo's click this link:

Thanks alot. My puffer has white stringy pooh. So I guess it has IP. And the fish is really skinny, but eating very well. And I have just seen some small white worms swimming around in the tank. (Don't know if thats the IP's or not)
Only problem is that I live in Norway, so i'm not sure if I can get Gel-Tek, prazipro or jungle fizz. It's probably called something else, just have to find out what.

I did it... got three baby fahakas about 2 inches each.. all this fahaka talk was driving me crazy i missed my old one... ones going in a 125gal ones going in a 250gal indoor pond and one is currently taking in my 33 till he grows to big. got them at a crazy good deal too.
