For the most part it's true. Just take note the warmer the water the more the fish eat. The more they eat the faster they grow. Also they produce more waste. Your tank is already busting at the seams with your current stock. I hope your running some crazy filtration on that tank

Yea I think I'm pretty good with my filtration. I have a 100 gallon canister filter with a emperor 400 hob filter. Also I have a uv filter and a circulation fan. Also do weekly 20% water changed and vacuum the gravel. Change the filters every two weeks on pay day 😀

Did you use Epsom salt with the metro?

Epsom salt with metro for feeding. Not dosing the water. Do you have a test kit? I would really like to know what your parameters are with doing 20% weekly. All my tanks I do 2 25% weekly changes on.

Another thing, should I turn up the water temp? I had it around82 and now moved it to around 86

I am personally not sure bumping the temperature above the optimal for the fish is any good. Temp in the 80s will be fine.
The parasites is only killed at 98.6F when exposed for 24 hrs, unless the fish can handle that...
The only temp that may shorten the parasites life is anything above 93.2

Okay I won't add Epsom salt to his water anymore. I watched a video where he said to add it into the water to help him poop lol he's still not eating as of this morning and I don't on me right now sorry

I got ahold of the company that makes the product. They told me that I don't need to do both because in the water, it goes through the gills I guess. So I hope this is true. They also said if needed, force feed but it can also stress the fish out. So I'll just keep it in the water and hopefully eventually he will want to eat!
