What the hell am I going to do with a Pacu, my biggest tank is only 120 gallons.
Then why did you buy it!!!??? It would probably be better off dieing in the LFS tanks rather then spending a lifetime in some blokes 55G.

I want to know what corporate d-bag P.O.S. @$$hole thought it was a good idea to sell PACUS in places like Wal-Mart and Petsmart. The people shopping there are probably casually buying those poor things for their horribly undersized tanks. In the Wal Mart nearest me, there was a photo on the wall of (I'm assuming) an employees tank with a pacu in it. It looked (if memory serves me well) like a 12"+, probably more, pacu in a 55 gallon. They might as well be selling red tail cats (I know those are more expensive, but still...). Anyone know if Wal mart is affiliated with petsmart?

i say build a cheap pond for all the goldies that would look cool :D

pacus grow them up when they hit like 15 inches eat them .Better than living a few days in hell .

How does that make sense, to not give it a chance and try to find it a good home, just because it is a pPacu. If you actually read the thread, you would know that they will find new homes. It doesn't mater anyway, the Pacu is almost dead. I woke up to about a dozen dead fish. In all, about 30 have died, but I took about 10-15 that I knew weren't going to make it. The rest are looking better.

some wal-mart fish are really good quality if they dont stay in their ammonia ridden tanks for too long. My puffer came from there and hes really healthy

If you want to send the goldies over to WI or MN I would gladly take them and my fish would thank you.

You could try to contact the nearest fish club near you and tell them about your rescue. I'm sure you'd have no trouble finding people to adopt some of your fish and you would know whether they were going to a good home or not.
