HOLY CR*P Walmart

I understand the intention was good, but there was no logic in doing this. They aren't any better off than where they were. Now they have to suck their own ammonia after going from dozens of tanks (and lots of filtration) to only a handful.

I gotta think what you did was good, I see no bad in that. The only bad thing I would see is if you kept them all in a tank way to small but it does not sound like thats your plan. Nurse back to health and then make a determination on what to do with them all...

Good looking out man...

whats the point of saving these fish. you throw these fish in your tank, then the ammonia spikes gonna kill them off and more fish are gonna make it to walmart and die. shoulda just let them die over there.

you want to save the world by saving fish and and boycotting. just let the world be what it is or do something BIG like join PETA. because spending $30 to save some fish isnt such a big difference.

what would have been funny is asking an employee or the manager about the fish while taking pics of their dead fish or recording it. even better, ask walmart if they can help you in a school documentary that focuses on the how healthy fish are in fish stores.

all these stories about saving one dying fish are LAME. i would just move on to the next fish with the best scales and best fins. imagine Asian Arowana buyers thought with the same good intentions. they would get flamed if they made a thread about saving an arowana with no barbels or no fin. i hope theres people here that agree with me

Yup, there are.....the first gf pic looked like there's already ammonia buildup...

you think walmarts bad. you should check out the places that walmart and all other fish stores buy from. go complain to them and see if they even give you a second of their time. check out the where the fish are stored at restaurants.

the world doesnt need these kinds of positive actions. theyre too small and ineffective. dont think of how youre gonna save that little poor fish's life. think about how you can change the way fish are sold from wholesalers to retailers. you have good intentions but its not your fight.

I don't understand why everyone is complaing, They are in QT tanks, I used media from established tanks, I came home after being gone for 12 hours and only 3 more fish died. They were in 3 30 gallon tanks. If you want to let everything die, then you go ahead and do that. They would all be dead already if they were left at Walmart. If you don't like what I did, then stay off the thread.

Has anyone ever tried to buy one of the dead fish at Wal-Mart? Now that would be hilarious.
