what was the gallonage and filtration setup or did you already say?
10 ppm of nitrate isn't bad at all, Ive seen planted tanks with about that if not more.
I say add another cat,maybe a few more,LOL (i like cats)
a juruense cat would go great,a niger cat would too for awhile.

so thats a 150? gives me some ideas for my new 150, that in getting soon, hopefully. lol. what kind of filtration you got on that thing

150 gallons
i had a 55g sump(plus 7 HOB's..and yes..i know HOB filters are not all that adequate on large tanks..but they have worked very well for me) on it for about 6 months, but one of the dividers cracked and it needs to be repaired.
right now i have the 7 HOB's and a friends fluval 405, i'll get pics of it all when i repair the glass in the sump.

they are fed foods that don't make huge messes, in smaller quantities..they get medium sized pellets and shrimp, which they can swallow easier..limiting the leftovers(when fed large pellets, they tend to make huge messes with leftovers) and any leftover food that falls..is sucked up by the cats..i do a 20% wc plus vac the tank floor on mondays, and a 50% wc on fridays or saturdays, followed by a cleaning of 2-3 filters in tank water..never clean all at once..its tedious..but it needs to be done...it was hard at first...but it got a lot easier following a routine.
