Monster is an attitude towards Fishkeeping. Passion for the hobby is definitely it.

More on topic though, it really does depend on the owner / viewer. I have told people about my tanks but they usually have no concept of tank size. When they come in my house the first thing they see once they come down the stairs is my 55 gallon tank. You would be amazed at how many people think it is huge. Once I casually lead them to the dining room and see the 210 and 300 their jaws just drop.

I think if your loved ones go into cardiac arrest when they see how big your tank/stand is, that qualiifes![]()

Unless you consider the monster that would do that to a pbass. Monster a******, that is. Unless it's a grow out tank of course.patatmblife;3084419; said:TANK SIZE determines "Monster Tank". I think any tank that can house a monster fish comfortably can be called a monster tank. A 500 gallon tank with NEONS is still considered a monster tank to me and a 20g tank with a pbass in it isn't a monster tank.
