Electro shocking is just a group of electrodes, normally 6-8 on each pole with 2 poles, that dangle into the water depth depends on target sp of fish. Then a small electrical current is sent from one to the other. This creates an electric shock and stuns the fish close by. The stunned fish float up and you net them. Then place them into holding tanks on the boat. The DNR uses this for studies as well. Need permits for that. The stun only lasts for a few seconds and then they snap out of it going back to normal.
They also have back pack styles for this with a similar set up.
