How do you get your native fish?

Dipnet in a creek and online fish sellers like Jonahs aquarium, Sachs aquaculture, Zimmermans fish and Btdarters.

That fish schocker thing would be good for collecting, sampling, and researching but if you use that just to fish you are a tool. I like how it says you can be more of a man by using it. A real man catches fish on rod and reel. That thing takes the sport out of fishing.

False, a real man catches fish like this:

I wish they had natives at one of my lfs. Ive never seen any at any lfs.

Gator gar, shortnose gar, longnose gar, spotted gar, and florida gar are all commonly available in the trade if you keep your eyes peeled.

So are texas cichlids, cave fish, florida pupfish, and more - you just probably dont realize they are "natives".

Well, if you want to get into it, noodling is the manliest form of fishing. I love noodling.

Bowhunting takes some skill but letting a 60 or 70lb catfish nom on your arm is pretty extreme. Man vs beast

Best fishing i think is rod and reel...but big fish on ultralight poles. I caught a 25 pound stripe bass on porgy hooks on line that was only for up to 4 pounds...good thing tgat the porgys hooks are rigged with mono.

If i had a big tank i would put the bass in it and hang the pole i caught him with above the tank....
