How has the coronavirus affected your personal life?

My line of work is defined as essential by the government and my bosses so my day has not changed much. I still work daily 8-4:30. I was placed into QT for 2 weeks no pay due to potential exposure. It’s allergy season and I was sent home due to a stuffy/runny nose for 3 days until cleared by medical professional. I rarely go shopping, went once in the past month or so. Almost all shelves were empty. Haven’t visited family in 3 months now. Recently saw the projected numbers for Canada which was concerning.

I feel like I have been in isolation at work, for the past couple of weeks. Just laying low in the boiler room and office and only venturing out for work that is deemed urgent. My 90 yr old mom was just placed into isolation due to a temperature, so she was also tested for covid but results not back yet.

This virus is making me think about my own morality more often than normal, I’m 18, I shouldn’t be thinking about my death.

I put in a bid on this car before the lockdown, and yesterday I won it. Now I have to truck it coast-to-coast, which was for ($1500) "no problem."

But the DMV is on lockdown, so I might be driving an outlaw ride for a while...

Looks like at least May before I can get it inspected. It should be here before then unless they stop all the trucks on the interstate.

I was actually going to buy a 2020 Supra (for 4x what I paid for this) but our local dealer became a total leach as soon as he knew I was interested in one of the two he'd ordered. I'll go drive this thru his shop with the mufflers open just for spite.

Anyhow I paid cash, but would have had to finance $25k to buy the Supra. IF the dealer hadn't tried to diddle me around on the price.
Ever since Penske bought out our Toyota shop it has gotten to be a pain.

That was two weeks ago, and he has a Supra still in his window. Car dealers are on lockdown. If he'd sold it to me he wouldn't be financing $42k for another month. Now he can't sell at all. When I drove down Auto boulevard it was dead as dirt.

That's genuinely cool, did you buy it complete as in th pic or is it the kit?
Funny you mention car dealers, I'm getting constant texts from my local Hyundai dealer telling me "there's never been a better time to buy" and "any genuine offers considered " after they offered me the dodgiest trade in deal ever when I was going to upgrade last year. This virus is teaching a lot of businesses the danger of being cocky when times are good.

He does seem like an interesting fellow, I'd love to be slick enough to cruise around in a car like that when I am retired. Obvious proof that hobbies and interests keep you young at heart and healthy in the body and the head.
