I get replacement masks. I’m a doctor and seeing sick patients all the time. Seen numerous patients with flu like symptoms. I maybe getting exposed to the virus and getting eventually sick.
Thanks for being out there on the front lines! My brother in law is a doctor too and is equally worried as he has to man the Covid ward every couple of weeks. A heartening fact I heard here in NY is that first responders have a significantly lower infection rate than the general population due to the fact they wear the PPE (masks, etc) all the time. Masks work.

It has been a great time for reflection and self improvement for many people ...

Around here it's Home Improvement.
You can't get a parking spot at our Lowes.

I drove 20 miles cross-town to get gate hardware which our Lowes was sold out of. No problem parking, and I got everything, PLUS it was cheaper than our Lowes.

. . . first responders have a significantly lower infection rate than the general population due to the fact they wear the PPE (masks, etc) all the time. Masks work.

I watched a MC cop get spit at in the parking lot of that Lowes by some homeless looking dude with a shopping cart as I was tying down my new gates. I guess he'd actually been shopping down the street, and the store owner called because he'd taken the shopping cart.

It got loud, and evidently the cop told the guy to turn around (with much gesticulation) and return the cart or go to jail. Now the cop is wearing a helmet and gloves, but no mask. The guy is giving him a hard time. The cop pushes his mike button and I hear some cop jargon, and a cruiser pulls into Lowes from opposite directions within seconds.

I have stopped tying knots and I'm watching the perp's head spin around as he hears the first car's PA whoop one time. He knows he's screwed now.

The cart thief is wearing a mask, and he pulls it down and spits at the cop. Spits right at his face from about 5 feet and probably misses. The cop was a bit stunned and took half a step back. The perp panics bigtime.

The idiot starts to run from the cops, sideways toward me, pushing the cart over like a lunatic. The guy on the motorcycle takes two steps, grabs the guy, and yanks him right off his feet.

As I left, he was still face down on the hot pavement (it's been over 100F for days) and it appeared the new cops (both in masks) were going to keep him down there for a bit. Maybe they were discussing whether they should call the ambulance or the nuthouse.

Coronavirus affects my life because my mom is a doctor and that makes it so that I can't go anywhere

Wait until you get old and have to go places all the time, that you don't want to go to. Like taking your kid to the hospital.

There is almost nothing worse than having your kid bleed or cough or get sick. People do crazy chit when their kids get hurt too.

My mom backed over a gate post and bent my dad's Chevy, then ran it over a pig. I had nipped the tip off my sister's finger with a folding lawn chair. (Just the flesh, but it was seriously bloody.) When we got to the Dr, they sewed her up, and 60 years later she still has a scar.

Help your mom to stay sane by staying healthy and safe. You'll get your share of scars in due course.

There will be a surge in repressed socializing before things get back to normal. I think we are already seeing this on the news.

Be wary folks.

Those Social butterflies can have cooties.

This is making my fish buy hell. I like odd balls which I like finding a needle in a haystack now ?
It’s kinda funny that I’m having the exact opposite problem than you as I keep finding “odd” fish that I have to stop myself from buying. Mainly plecos though and a catfish or two.

Still enjoying the lockdown.
We're a few days or a week away from having it officially wiped out here. Apparently there's one woman in her 50s left with an active case.
