Do you own a boat or do you have to go on some public ferry? How much water separates you from the isthmus proper?
This is our public ferry.

Monday I posted that Panama was going to do limited lifting of curfew and other restrictions, that day the Covid count was a little over 12,000 confirmed cases
Today, after only 5 days of lifted restrictions, the government sent out a new count, below.
.
On June 4, Panama’s Ministry of Health (MINSA) confirmed 15,044 cases of COVID-19.

This weekend the curfew will be extended for Panama Oeste and Panama provinces. On Saturday, June 6 curfew will begin at 5 p.m. and will last until Monday, June 8 at 5 a.m. Curfew for all other provinces remains from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning.

I would like to take our little boat out.
I’ve been too busy, and it’s been too hot.

All the lakes were closed during peak fishing weather, and now that they’re open, everything is too busy. I couldn’t buy bait. Still sold out.

Did the embassy in Panama get hit?
I read people went after our Mexican embassy last night.
It was in the MSNBC morning news feed . . .

As far as I know there haven't been any demonstrations here in Panama at all, since there is a 7 pm curfew, and people are actually taking their own vulnerability to Covid seriously, so few venture out.
Panama is very diverse racially, and although the country seemed to look to the U.S. as an example of success in the past, many people seem to be almost embarrassed at the current direction the U.S. is in, and are now looking elsewhere.
Lately if people ask where we originated, the response after I say the U.S. is now, "oh I'm sorry."

I would certainly feel worse about it if I lived in a big city.
We live in an oasis of sorts. Insular, if not Taboga. ;)

Our lives have been graciously devoted to the doghouse.
Judy loves to paint too.
I've had her painting the doghouse for 3 days.

She pre-painted all the lumber
I cut it.
She repainted it.
I assembled it.
She touched up the paint.
I cut the trim up
She painted it
I installed it.
She touched up the paint

I have yet to install the hinges and shingle the roof.
She will want to touchup paint it all again.
After the paint cures, the dogs will chew it to pieces.
I should build a wood car and a steel doghouse.

Hello; Well a direct effect for me. The local JC Penny store is to close for good. The local shoe store where I last bought shoes is closing.

Lol, your missus seems like a gal on a mission. Don't stand still for too long Ulu, you might end up the same colour as your doghouse!

I work at a Hospital in Des Moines Iowa and have been directly exposed multiple time. We wear the masks and eye visors but it appears to me it just doesn't matter, some people get bad symptoms but many many more are positive without symptoms. My employment has continued without a pause though we aren't getting a bonus this year because allegedly the pandemic has caused the hospital to have financial issues.

From what I read apparently it’s because the hospital isn’t doing as many unnecessary procedures such as Botox, boob jobs, face lifts, etc, so they aren’t making as much money as before. Take what I have said with a grain of salt and do your own research about it if you’re curious though.
