See this link for a clear rebuttal to this quack and his talking points.

Here you go again posting vaccine misinformation.....

Didn't realize that the mayo clinic hired quacks, that's a bit unsettling to consider

Hello; My brother did have shingles after getting the shots. The NIH does hold joint patents with companies is my understanding. Some other than him have suggested taking Vitamin D even if a case specifically for covid has not been determined. I do not know for sure about the vaccines or the ivermectin myself and will keep looking into information as I find it.
I had dismissed my brothers shingles and an odd thing which happened to me after the shots as not related to the shots until I saw the video. He may be wrong about some of the things he says but he called the shingles. I still do not know how much confidence to have in his statements just as i stated in my previous post.

There is currently no research actively connecting the COVID vaccine and shingles:

Also folks, don't take ivermectin as a COVID treatment, you'll just end up dealing with the poison control center (as an article I previously posted covered).

However, the vaccine debate has devolved into political discourse similar to climate change in the 00's: 99% of papers and scientists support the vaccine, but the 1% of scientist who do not are getting way over amplified by a certain political party and certain news outlets to the point where the debate seems equal, even when it is not. On top of this, signifcant amount of literal misinformation and lies are being put out by either nefarious actors or clueless people who think they know better than experts (I like to call this "hero of your own story syndrome").

Just wanna point out real quick that just a day after I made this point, we get a perfect example of it right here in this thread.

So what if someone got shingles after getting a vaccine - any vaccine.

Millions most likely also came down with a cold, the flu, pink eye, a urinary tract infection, an STD, and a multitude of other ailments, AFTER they got a vaccine for covid. And that proves what exactly? That people get sick, even when they have received a vaccine (or not?)

Wow, more newsworthy stuff!

Shingles are typically believed by many to be associated with stress, and a lowered immunity. It's a rather common ailment, especially in older adults. I had shingles several years ago when I was going through some other health issues, and at that time a lot of stress at work. I have never had a shingles vaccine, and it has never returned - not even after 2 covid vaccines. Imagine that!

Shingles - Symptoms and causes - Mayo Clinic

"Shingles is caused by the varicella-zoster virus — the same virus that causes chickenpox. Anyone who's had chickenpox may develop shingles. After you recover from chickenpox, the virus enters your nervous system and lies dormant for years.

Eventually, it may reactivate and travel along nerve pathways to your skin — producing shingles. But, not everyone who's had chickenpox will develop shingles.

The reason for shingles is unclear. But it may be due to lowered immunity to infections as you grow older. Shingles is more common in older adults and in people who have weakened immune systems."

A lady recently tried to convince my mom (a medical professional since the 80's) that a family friend developed diabetes from getting the COVID vaccine. More like they happened to develop diabetes around the time they got vaccinated.

"Correlation does not imply causation".

It's not ridiculous thought that it might trigger a shingles breakout. It can just take being a bit tired to do it sometimes, so the effect of an immune response to another issue could do it.

Yes, anything is possible when it comes to stress and a persons individual immune system. But the reality is there is absolutely no way to determine the exact cause or trigger of any case of shingles. It could be one single stressful event, or a multitude of things taking place at once. The general consensus in the medical field is that shingles is triggered by a weakened or compromised immune system. Vaccines don't cause shingles, but the stress of a vaccine could be enough to trigger an outbreak of shingles in a person. But so could a million other things .......

I got a shingle before. Just one. Go figure…
This has happened more than once, that I got one single shingle.

They disappear as mysteriously as they appear. But I never get a patch or a rash of them.

Maybe something completely different…?
