over 30 years . . . I remember winning a goldfish at a county fair when I was probably about 10, and I've kept something every since . . . I've been keeping cichlids for about 20 years now . . .

now that is the one thing about those poor goldies at the fair that earns a respect.. if one of the kids becomes a fishkeeper it is a good starting point..i wonder how many others started that way...Sab_Fan;3320963; said:

This was about April of this year. I quickly got a 20 gallon set up, ran it about a month, then I needed more. In June I got a 55 and 10 gallon. My 55 has some monsters to be (dat, polys), and the 10 has 2 dwarf puffers.
Lastly, I am currently building a 120. It still needs a few more coats of seal, then I can install the glass.
Talk about jumping into fishkeeping. Keep in mind that im 16, play sports year round, and get straight As in hs, and am in an engineering course that is college level.

To tell you the truth, I haven't really had very much experience because I still have parents that restrict my tank size. Maybe if I beg my parents I can upgrade to a 70 on my birthday, but I still won't have any fish that can't be put in communities.
