How many layoffs!?

It all started with the mortgages and the short selling of the mortgages and the stocks

Whose fault is it we dont know but ill tell u this much when clinton was in office USA economy was doing really good until the dot.com bust

Look guys NO POLITICS you know it will only lead to a close of this thread. NOt cool. I was just wanting to know what your place of work is doing in this bad times. and how many/ofter they are laying off/firing. I don't care who was in office when crap hit the fan. I have my own thoughts on that but it doesn't belong here. so.......

Well i really dont care about politics and i got laid off on dec 19 not sure how many people were laidoff but must have been alot because it was @Sony Bmg

that sucks. the last layoff hit almost all of my good work friends. so work is a little different now. not only have things slowed to a crawl there is not as many good people to talk to.

Other than the changing of several laws that allowed the mortgage companies to lever up their lending and allowed much less strict lending restrictions in an effort to make home ownership easier.

Oh yeah...... and the Republicans ran both houses of the Congress much of Clinton's time, and Congress makes the legislation, not the president.

To attribute situations in the past to the sitting president is often misleading. Otherwise, Lincoln would be blamed for slavery. It WAS legal in some parts of the country ALL of his first term. No one attributes slavery to him!

The impact of the president is one of the most overstated influences in society. Everything is cyclical -- only the names change.
