the more complete answer ....

this question is really about how to deal with losses in ones life.

when one suffers a loss in life it needs to be dealt with as such.........some type of mourning and some time for closure.

if every loss is immediately replaced the process of mourning and closure are never learned.

then when a serious loss occurs and an immediate replacement can not be found... serious side effects may then show up...... depression irrational behavior etc.

better to learn how to cope little by little ...give it some time and move on with life...........

my 2 cents :)

See this sounds like the answer i've been waiting for i knew someone would be like my parents lol ugh daddy john.

I will wait to get another. Until i want 1 for looking after and loving than just replacing... i kinda owe it to Charlie to not get over him so fast.

Like you said if my grandma die's i can't go and replace her :(.

R-- SORRY FOR THE PARENTAL ANSWER BUT IN THE LONG RUN IT WILL SERVE YOU WELL :)

Just to let you know guys that Charlie died today. He was really slow during the day today, he had already gone deaf and blind a few weeks ago... I got up at 1.30AM not sure what made me but he was on my mind....

He was at his water bottle i took the bottle off i stroked him then he kinda just led down..I picked him up still lightly breathing and put him into his bed. He's still in the same place this morning so i guess i was lucky to get to say goodbye in his last few minutes.

Na night Charlie monster.

Sorry for your loss, he looked like a cute lil fella.

I'm sorry princess. That's awful. :(

You're right though, at least you probably got the last few minutes with him.

:(

you gave him the best life possible.
im dealing with three of my fav. rats/first three deaths
all with in the same month, all about a week apart.
it's hard but time heals everything.
just do what your heart tells you, if you want another one it's your choice.

thanks guys for your support.....my parents prob think i'm crazy but my mum cried before aswell and my dad wasn't his normal gobby self.

I've talked to my mum and she agree's that waiting is a "mature" idea...but she wouldn't mind if i got another aslong as it's for the right reasons.
