hmmm. for the hole tank to properly cure well after being fiberglassed does it all have to be done in one general run? or can i do some one day, and do some more another?

And how do you suggest going about doing the walls? just one big sheet across, or should i do it in vertical strips?
one large piece then strips in the corners overlapping the big sheets...
Make sure to get those rollers to work out the air (MEGA important)...
you can do the job in stages, just make sure you keep the project clean and dry...maybe cover it with a tarp.

Like the tank in the other thread, do 2 or 3 laminations...

Before i start. Any tricks of the trade for the corners? anything to keep in mind.

My plan is to laminate all the corners and seams with ooo 4" wide strips, then do then large areas then vica versa. Or should i start with the walls (big areas) then the corners?

Absolutly corners first, then just overlap everything...I'd go wider on the strips like 8-10"...
Did you get the roller?
The roller will sqish the glass into the resin and force it deep into the corners, the grooves in the roller will squeeze all the air out...just work it back and forth till it's all clear looking...
Don't even mix any resin and hardner, if you haven't got your rollers...get a 1/2" x 4" wide, and a corner tool too...I'll see if I can find a pic of one for you...
edit: here's a link to the rollers...http://www.uscomposites.com/fgrollers.html

No no, not until i have all my supplies ill start.

Im going to go look around today if i can find any rollers..

ooo trust me youll know when i start

Do you guys not put fillets in the inside corners of the tank before you glass? It just seems a lot easier to me and stronger. In fact Ive been checking a couple of diy plywood tank threads, and there is no mention of it.they do it on boats, why not fish tanks?I would never glass an inside corner without it.

a fillet is when you thicken the resin with mircoballoons and fill in the corners, almost like it would be caulked with the resin, the glass will lay up better in the cornersIMHO.
