How to on temporary houseing for fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
right now there is a sheet over the pool because I was afraid of that happening, but I plan on getting some bird netting or something similar that will hold up to the moisture better.

BTW - thanks for the idea, this all came from your thread dr. joe posted.... except mine is a free 150 gallon (last summer's pool and it's not all the way filled up cause it's in my house and I didn't want spills) :headbang2

will do on the pictures tomorrow...I am the wife, so the vacuum is fair game :grinyes: and my fishies look much happier with some room to swim. Now it's just keeping the kids out of it....this will be the interesting part :)

Did I say wife ??? I I I meant husband, ya that's it...arg, I'm busted aren't I?

Just make sure the sheet doesn't touch the water or it will wick the water out.

By the way ... a guy would have posted pix :ROFL:

well my guy wouldn't have posted pics cause he thought they were fine in the tank they were in, so the pool thing would have never happened, but as a non-male, I will try to conform to your ways later today... My digital camera has bit the dust (actually I overflowed a tank and it was in the way) and I am in roaming when I am at home so I can't upload pics with my phone until I am out of roaming, but I will get my friend's camera when she gets home this afternoon from shopping.

found out about the wicking thing this morning when I got up, no more sheet, hopefully they don't try to jump out until tomorrow when I can get some bird netting stuff. They never have been jumpers, but then again, they have never had this much space to roam free either.....

Are you sure you have all your X chromosomes? :D

Just tell your DH that the general opinion here is that he listen to you. :headbang2

if only it could work that way....I have to be sneaky and make him think my ideas are his for them to work....:D

(actually I am very lucky and have a wonderful husband and I get my way 95% of the time :headbang2)

all 4 of the fish are hiding behind the filter, I'm afraid to put any caves or anything in there since the liner on the bottom is so thin, so they'll just have to hide behind the filter for now. I did this whole thing for my largest paroon who is ~13" but I have another paroon that is ~11", an albino channel cat that is ~11" and a blue channel cat that is ~5" in there too right now. They will be the owners of my plywood tank (8Lx2Hx3W) for awhile until they outgrow that....
