The plants could be eaten by Silver Dollars, except genus Anubia.

Silver Dollars would probably work out, they get about 8" round...so they'd be "show stoppers" full grown in a pack of about a dozen plus...other than that it's a mixed bag...

Wow, some really bad advice here so far..lol

Pleco's like you said are a safe bet.

Goldfish, flagtails, giant gouramis, discus...no. They will eat anything they can catch, and they are better at catching than you would think.

My 8" bala sharks ignore smaller fish, but that may just be luck on my part.

Roseline sharks would be pretty neat in a tank that big.

What kind of small fish are you looking at getting?

Giant Gourami Or Fly River Turtle :D
GG's have a reputation for being fish-killers, so I don't think that would be such a good idea.

I'd get a giraffe cat and tinfoil barbs (although it's possible that the barbs could eventually eat the smaller fish).

Agreed. I wonder how many of the people suggesting huge carnivores with 1" fish have actually kept combos like that before... I know I have, and in my experience, it didn't work out anything like they're saying it does...
