no offense man, but come here. deer need controlled. otherwise u end up with deer constantly getting hit, or starving because there isnt enough food. an area can only sustain a certain amount of animals and sence we humans have upset the naturall balance it needs controlled.

This isn't Pennsylvania where there are no Predators to control Deer.......That's comparing apples to oranges........Beleive it or not, there are areas where humans really havn't put there stamp yet......Where that Gator was killed, was un-altered wetland.......Where the ecosystem is still intact, and all the little niches are still there.......How else do you think that animal hit 14' and stayed that way? The days of 14' Gators are coming to an end because of human encroachment........Whats un-altered should stay that way, and like I said, there are plenty of Gators just a minute outside civilization that would satisfy anybody........There are alot of gators in Floriduh.......People poach them all the time.......Try to find a big Male anymore......You won't.......Just the typical 6-10ft. transient Males that should be the management animals........
Dear is completely seperate. The reason we need to hunt dear is we removed all top predators that eat dear. Look at yellowstone. They reintroduce wolves to get the elk populations under control. The vegetation then comes back, then smaller rodent populations increase, then small predator poulations increase.

I think humans are the top predator. Maybe we should all move to cold areas and let the gators have their property back?
yah kill the little wildlife we have left.. notice sarcasim...come on plz population controll its just another way for the states to make money by selling hunting permits...that gator would have taken care of the population by killing its rivels in its territory but u know the state needs there money .... also the deer dont need to be hunted we need to stop building into wildlife and leve them more space ,but thats prob is that we need to have population controll for ower species we take and take but we never give back to nature...builders see forest then think profit the animals that live in that forest and have no place to go less places to hide frome the humane eye now all of a sudden you need permits to hunt them because there population is growing ,yeh that dont make sense u see them more and more because more and more space is getting taken from them....

Try to tell a relative of mine, no need for population control. They have lost multiple harvests to deer. Wasnt even worth harvesting cause deer had eatten so much. crop damage permit and a bunch of meat later, and it was under control. still alot of deer and plenty of lost crop but at least they got some.

this is my point ower population is massive because we have no predatores and there is no one controlling us...that is the prob we r encroching on there land.. we prob have more people in prison than we do have deer in the united states, never mind the reg people going about there everyday lives...

First of all, it is FLORIDA- not duh. I am proud to be from FL and you ae not making any good points by insulting the state.
Second of all, there is not a place in FL that is not unaltered one way or the other. That just does not exist anymore, even in state parks...
