There is a pdf on use of effective microorganisms - international journal of current microbiology where tests were done on nile tilapia

I am unable to attach the pdf but if you see there is a need to have a look, you can google effective microorganisms on aquaculture

I could get in bulk this EM for about usd 90 cents to treat 6000 litres/1600 gallons of water (1 capsule for 100 litres), specifically for arowana and rays. For ornamental fishes, it's even cheaper

Let's ignore the fact that it is from china and thus some things may be overstated lol

I did use the same brand for their spriulina powder with no ill effects on my fishes (including clown loaches) and rays thus I am inclined to trust the brand

In the main sticky there is several links, to numerous companies that produce numerous products designed for aquaculture. This is not new science, it has been used in aquaculture for decades, the only real difference is the cost of the products that I was mentioning in the sticky. It's like comparing bulk salt that can be purchased for aquarium use, to the smaller extremely overpriced containers found at ones LFS.

Thanks I read it... so essentially it's the same thing but marketed differently

Gonna try it out then

Thanks again
