I wish i had hot chicks giving me their numbers. I get the morons who blame me when their neons die.

I stopped selling fish to people who can't care for them anymore. My manager didn't like it at first then he realized we had almost no returns so he is happy now.

I just need to figure out how to make people realize that YELLOW DOESN"T = GOLDFISH.

I worked at a local PetsMart for almost two years. During that time, the only two good things to come out of said job: a free rat, which turned me into rats for a good while, and my love for fish.

I hated that damn job. The customers who didn't care about any pet, especially their fish, the ones who refused to pay a vet bill for a ten dollar gerbil, and don't get me started on the managers who found out fast that I was swaying people from buying overpriced and too-young chamelons as a "family everyone can hold em" pet. One of the worst jobs of my life.

I completely disagree with you. Mowing lawns and jobs on that level is not the only thing out there.

This is what I used to think but you can get a job in a doctors office, vets office, politics office, etc.. You can have a job where people come to you with a REAL problem and you help them out, people look at you with some respect. When you work for someone who's services require some money, you right away eliminate most of the idiots.

And I do get annoyed by most people, including a whole bunch of people on here. It does not mean you have to learn to live with it, you face the problem and you simply deal with it.

You do not have to settle for mediocre.

the lfs owner said i could work there when i turn fifteen i love that store too i can go in there for hours at a time, and see what all new they got in and there really straight forward people they also sell reptiles which is another thing im interested in

I work in a LFS and so far so good.

I havnt really lost any love for the hobby.

This is probably because the only fish I get to work with are the tropicals and some sorts of cichlids. So when I come home I actually get to see 'monster' fish.

Discounts are really cool too, and ive met a lot of really cool people.

its been a week and i kinda like it except for shipment days when we gotta wrestle 1000 bags of dog food and i cant help but feel sorry for this cockatoo that never gets handled it spends most of the day pacing in its "box" and trying to chew off the lock on its cage

I get asked quite often if I'd like to work at one lfs or another. I always tell them "I'd love to. You just have to match my present salary and benefits." By the time those numbers roll around, they figure out I'm making twice what the owner makes.
