i have a few questions before i fail again

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
spawning can wear fish out a fair bit.. i would say their just recovering.. don't stress about it..
Congrats on the fry.. they should be very nice ..

Very happy to say I have 15 babies. How soon should I get them out of the meth blue water? Ive been changing about 8 oz of water every other day.

I'm getting ready to move the babies to a 30gl tank. There is nothing on the bottom right now, but I want to put sand in it, do you think this would be a problem for the fry? Comments on this please.

sheesh...The other little ones are barely free swimmers and they just gave me another batch that I've wasted no time in seperrating into the meth blue tank. 300 sounds like a good number. If you want pics i might be able to get some but it will be hard to get any thru the blue water.

Sorry there's no new pics yet. The mother and father have been going nuts since I removed their eggs. The eggs are in the tank I hatched the last batch in, and in the last 24 hrs quite a few have proven to be infertile, (white), I'm hoping the meth blue will keep the fungus at bay till the rest hatch at least, because I'm not going to remove the white ones.

wow GL i hope u get more babies out of this batch.

Hope everything works out for you. Maybe try letting the parents fan the eggs and take care of the fry once. I read some where that fry raised by there parents usually grow faster.

Thanks everyone. The babies are mostly hatchedand moving around. FishFreak I'm gonna leave the next batch in to see what happens. I will have pics of the first batch up today, they are growing like crazy.
