  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
cool opinion man. Honestly, packing it to this level is NOT my cup of tea. However,
i do respect it and the people who do so. Only because this is considered a feat and breaking all the rules and norms of traditional fish keeping.

Please bear in mind that people who do this and are succesful have been keeping large setups and delicate fish for years and they want to do something advanced.
You cannot just do this and expect it to work if you do not have the experience and know-how. People who have done this succesfully took their time and skills to be able to pull this off..

lso, has anyone here considered that continuing to heap all manner of praise besides simple compliments only encourages others to strive for "crazier" setups of sorts...?

You cannot go crazier than that.LOL Seriously, you will realize REAL quick
how hard it is if you want to emulate a similar look but do not have the relative experience and know-how. Trust me, its a lot HARDER than it looks. :)

Besides, striving for something crazy in fishkeeping ( no matter how crazy it is )
is still a good thing. You gotta break new grounds if you want to be a pioneer.
I think getting involved in this hobby and experimenting with it is better than say experimenting with alcohol, drugs or any other things. We have a lot of kids and young adults on this board and id rather have them look up to this than other things.

food for thought... how many of you would heap all manner of praise on a fellow of this sort if a picture was posted of him "housing" all 9 of his children (this is all hypothetical, remember...!) in a 6x6 "bedroom"...??? hey, if they all were "fat/happy" is ok...??? hmmmmm.....

I wouldnt even elaborate on that. Children and fish are totally different things.
I wouldnt even let my son swim in a 6 foot tank. But i sure as well let my arowana do! ;)

Its cool aint it ?? I always enjoy looking at pics of it wondering and how they did it , how many times they had to try an re-try to perfect the setup and the fish, feeding sched, cleaning sched.. etc etc...

Yep. Harder than you think it is. Just imagine the filtration for that tank. . .
You cant go with 5 aquaclears on that.

to me this hobby is a art everyone has their own style and perception of whats beautiful but you have to have respect of every artists creation i.e. this tank to me represents the extreme strive for perfection and the ultimate collection for us monster hobbyists

If you think about it, putting a fish in a box with stagnant water is the least ideal environment for a fish. If you really advocate the best for your fish, i should say leave your trouts and other fishes in the lake and rivers where they really belong. Otherwise, putting them in tanks and then preaching out saying that this method of keeping fish is cruel etc.. is really hypocritical.

Mental state of the fish ? Where do you get this?? If a fish is stressed out, there will be physical manifestations of it right away. I really dont understand that part.

i agree 110% bro :headbang2

and people be telling me i can't fit 5 tiger barbs inside a 20g?

BTW , how big do u think that pleco is?
