my son bought a 13" tsn at the lfs. the darn thing is now 15+ in only a month. I have it in a 300g, but IMO it will need to go into a pond soon. Why do these stores sell baby monsters to the public to start with?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$:(

bob....not to sound like a jerk but 750 would be better or a good size pond or above ground pool....

Thanks a lot John.......... for Flaming in a very nice way :D

I know the 300 wont be good for long but I needed something quick and it fit the bill better than I expected. I have enough space in the corner of my fishroom to build a 10'x12' pond so I'm considering that path, but some of these plywood tanks seem pretty cool also. It would sure be nice to only have ONE big water change a week to do.

cliff you want one like this

Lol, the fish, statue, or you? I am thinking if I do a large tank for my catfish I will do some kind of cement sculpture to put in there also. Good thing that I am artistically inclined as well as fish savy! Oh you probably meant the tank. That might meat the minmum requirements let me check the other site first.. lol, they say it's too small...JK, I would love that tank, but I would have to find a way to get a wels, mekong, paroon shark, filamentosum, ect.

Yeah, but in reallity you would have more than that because we all know you'd see another fish you want and you'd have to grow it out first to put it in that tank. So you would end up with at least 2-3 growouts anyway lol.

i just cant believe thats true mate....but in reality not all of them will reach that size...that fish in that 'ancient' aquarium is probably like 20 plus years old if u ask me....i guess by the time he outgrows wtv tank u have planned u will be ready. he wont be reaching 6 foot anytime soon :p

True, and in the other thread I posted a pic of the confirmed largest ever measured rtc at 61" and 150 lbs. That's 5' 1". Waiting for him to look at the pic and see if it looked larger than that. IMO, it doesn't, and I've seen pics of this exact catfish on flickr, pretty sure there was a guy next to it that was larger than it, so unless he was 7', I doubt it is 6', but there's always that chance. Hopefully he got some pics with him next to it.
