ok now im with you excellent, thanks matey.

mark knows a few people in the electricity buisiness so that will help also, he seems to think that i will need ephase electric then theres a huge standing charge to go with it, whatever that means  he aint got back to me on that 1 yet, hopefully he will see this and get a bee in his bonnet

3phase when u text me i thought ya want each socket to be on its own breaker lol or another main board in garage,
32amp is the feed from main board electrician says it only be 20 amp atm. 2.5mm cable is thick enough wire, which should already be there, as far as gfci whatever. its a brand new house on rental market so will have 17th edition main board plus garage consumer unit,

so stop fcking tripping will ya i sort ya electrics for ya even if i have to drag george down with me lol lol:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

If I am understanding that correctly it sounds like your panel in garage is gonna limit you to 32a. Even for a very large fishroom that should be plenty for lights/pumps. If you have large electric heater and a dehumidifier running concurrently its probably gonna get close though.

It varies so much based on the model and size but larger electric heaters designed for garage sized areas usually gonna take anywhere from 10 to 25 amps. Reasonable sized dehumidifier probably gonna take between 4 and 7 amps. A very large pump is probably 3 or 4 amps with most sized pumps drawing quite a bit less. Lights obviously gonna vary based off the type of lighting you do and how many you have.

Not sure how cold it gets where you are so no idea what size heater you will need. Just trying to think of things so you dont get this setup in the summer and get to winter and cant keep your stuff running cause heater keeps tripping the breaker for the whole garage.

it rarely drops below 0degree celsius here, electrian told me 32 amp is well enough, plus it prob running on 2.5mm wire so cant really go any higher, he not got keys yet so i have not looked properly

oh i am going to see if can get radiator linked up to his central heating if can there no need for big heater

One thing too you might look at is a automatic transfer switch. ITs something that hooks to the power and a generator. What it does it automaticly start the generator if it detects a loss in main power and it does it safely. This way if your not at home and the power goes you dont come home to a smelly room of deth. Might be a little costly but while your building you might put things in place and add to it as $ permits. If you could get a generator that uses natural gas that would be good becasue you would not have to worrk about loosing power ever.

I put one on my house....I live in a area prone to Huricanes and sometimes power can be out for days...

TV's, a wet bar, sound system, and some seating.

I just got the transfer switch installed when building my house...need to save up for the generator at this point. The transfer switch was a little costly but I dont know exactly becasue it was wrapped into the house price. I want to say 1k- 1.5k or something like that installed. But since you went through katrina as did I...how much $ did you loose in fish..food...and fridges...I know I lost over 1k in that aspect. I had a 110gal fully stocked reef tank looked like I poured milk in it when I was able to get back to my office. So when building a house (moved to lafayette) I had them put it in...now I wont evac and i'll have full power to my house to watch TV drink eat and watch my fish in the cool a/c....

BUMP back on subject please guys bare in mind i live in the UK/england, so lots of rules and regs are diff. cheers

Sorry bud...I thought that was still kinda on topic...my bad. I didn't realize you are in the UK...I have no idea about the rules and regs then lol. I would defanetly look into it tho with that many tanks...

Another thing I was thinking about is floor drains...but since its in a detached garage...maybe it doesnt mater if water floods the place if a tank brakes/leaks for any reason.

Another thought is the concrete flooring under all the tanks...make sure it can hold that much weight with all that water.
