"What did they ever do for us?"

This is, by far, one of the most offensive things anyone can ever say IMO. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have been able to restrain myself as much you did. Those men and women were out there daily, risking their lives for our safety and freedom, and many never returned. Think of their families, all the lives lost or ruined by war. And people like this don't even have the decency to give one minute of one day once yearly to our country's heroes? Disgusting.

Your story is admirable but the poll doesn't make sense to me, as many places in America do other things besides moments of silence to celebrate the veterans and remembrance of the fallen. So, no I did not do a moment of silence, but that says nothing about my pride in our veterans.
+2

wow that is so messed up.... I probably would have yelled at them, then lectured them, then made them feel like utter (insert word here) and then told them... no so kindly to get out.

I hateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee how disrespectful the younger people are now. Its disgusting and appauling. I am even sad to say I am from the same generation as them.
