surprisingly of all the government holidays i dont care about this is the only one i do care about, mostly cause some of my family is in the airforce and they fight for our freedom. (every one in the military just not the airforce to), not gunna lie though i did forget but i was in school and our school didn't even mention it

No offense Wulfonce, but your usage of the word ignorance is wrong.

How so?

I'm going to avoid getting a black mark on my MFK record so no comment just an observation. At least six (expletive deleted) people who are (expletives deleted) have the same attitude and those two (expletive deleted).

I cant believe there is 6 no care votes up there. if it was not for our military this nation would be under dictatorship and you would not have freedom. thats awful

I think there is a difference between not caring and not caring and being an ass about the situation.

I would be one of those "(expletive deleted)", its not that don't care it just I am indifferent to the situation. I just don't have any feeling negatively or positively to the situation so the closes thing to vote for was "I just don't care".

I think "inappropriate" or "immaturity" would have been a better word to use than "ignorance".

+1

i have no feelings about the topic either but it doesn't make me ignorant. however, i wouldn't go out of my way to make sure that the people who do care about it know that i don't.

ps. i've never been in a situation or place where they do the moment of silence. That was news to me that lots of places do it

"its not that don't care it just I am indifferent to the situation." Meaning you don't care about the moment of silence or that you don't care about our troops? In that respect the survey wasn't clear. Also should have an "We did something else" option. If you don't care about the moment of silence then I was hasty to use the expletive.

BTW indifferent and don't care means the same thing to most of us. This will vary by region.

i'm not going to spoil a good thread arguing about something so silly on such a big topic that brings out feelings in alot of people but indifferent and i i don't care have 2 completely different meanings

A little of both. I'm not saying "support the troops" but I am also not saying "screw the troops" I am in the middle of that spectrum.

True but intent is what makes them different. I could say I am indifferent and I am saying I am neither for or against the situation which has a neutral intent. I could say I don't care which has a sort of negative intent behind it even though it means the same thing.
