I will be building a pond much like the one posted a few pages back. How ever it will be a Saltwater pond for Sharks & Rays. Wont be started for a couple years however.
Here are some pictures. I am very sorry it took forever. There are two pictures of the pool one of the pump system i am going to change to make it better for the fish and a picture of the first monster in the pool. He is loving it so far. I put him in a couple of weeks ago and he has grown an inch since. He is a adopted 12" pleco that someone was keeping in a 10 gallon. I was in a LFS and they wouldn't take it so i asked if i could have it for my 250 gallon pond. And now he is in my pool not sure how many gallons it comes too.

Are you running the filter system right now?
I've been tempted to put my 15" pleco in mine, but I may never see him again. I've got 6 bream/blugill/whatever you wnat to call them in there now that I never see (maybe 9.5ft IS a little too deep). On the bright side, I've got some really big mosquito fish growing (1.5"-2").

oh my god!!! i am so jealous, i hope i can afford a inground pool someday so i can do the same. i wanna go scuba diving in their lol.
Just wondering since i skimmed most of the post to get to the pics >.<.. do you have a uv filter? that would help with the greenwater.. and i would say just treat it like a normal koi pond.. and it would be awsome if you threw in a dead/dried out tree.. i would go to a local nursery and see if they have any dead or dying trees that are water safe.. then dry it out and throw it in... a natural fish hide :]... throw in some bass and you have your own fishing pond
What size UV sterilizer should i get? How many watts? Does any one know a DIY that someone has done? I have been buying pumps and other stuff to set it up. Last weekend i added 6 2-3" convicts and another pleco that no one wanted at a LFS.
I found a guy with some 45 gallon barrels for sale 20 bucks a piece which is pretty good down here. He used them to collect rain water, I now i just have to figure how i want to setup the filters. i am going to make monster size canister filters. I still need some help with the uv sterilizer any info?
