Is fishkeeping dangerous? may sound stupid but...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I spent about 5 minutes trying to figure out how to get the thermometer out of my tank without my GT stealing one of my fingers. It was extremely traumatic. I fended him off with a bit of pipe in the end.

Yes, I often find myself lying next to one of my tanks with a needle in my arm attached to airline tubing going into my tank. I straightline my fish tanks. That's just how I roll.

So...that would be a Reef Tank from Tommy Chong's point-of-view?

I wonder how bad my 75 is for my hearing. Before it went in my room I used to watch my tv on volume 6 or 7, now I have to put it at 11 or higher to have a chance of understanding anything. I might be adding another ac110 soon :( It has been sitting in my closet for months and I really should put it to use.

Noise is a totally preventable symptom of Monster fish keeping...

ive been pricked by a few catfish, worst thing ever though is when u stick ur hand in the water and get electrocuted...not gonna kill u, but its a shock.

its also dangerous for the hubby's health when the wife walks in to the puddles he left al over the floor during water changes.

Until the $10 one starts beating on the $300 one, and all the stores are closed and you have no way to seperate them. :D

Isn't that the truth, lol.

the most common disease to humans caused by fish seems to be brokealoticus.

You know, the only sure cure for brokeloticus is lancing the bank account and making sure to squeeze out every last bit of cash for your fish. That way there's no money to worry over ;)

I'm suddenly eying my little 2-2.5" GT with apprehension, hehe

I grabbed a Catfish once behind the pectorals, he kinda squeezed my hand against his body, and theyre serrated so it was kinda like a knife, plus the venom gland at the base
not mine, but a few ppl on here have em

yeah, fishkeeping is dangerous to your wallet. ask any serious fish keeper.....something bigger and better comes up or a hard to find fish arrives at a lfs, and you have to have it. its an on-going process...
