That looked pretty bad...... Are there any spider web around the tank? Any bug of sort that could crawl on the tank wall? Take a second look at the surrounding of the tank. It's natural for aro's to jump to grab food.

Yah maybe it could have been a spider... I was thinking that spiders dcould have been a possibility as well I dont... =( but my RTG is healing well now i can see the bottom half of his tail starting to grow back out.

I had a large angel fish that buddied up with my silver before. It may be a good partner.

How about something to keep him occupied like ping pong balls?

My silver would also freak out whenever he saw anything red. If I wore a red shirt he would go nuts.

Yah I think I'm gonna get a flagtail for him to be a tank mate once I upgrade... I was at the LFS's today and they didn't have any good sized flagtails atm. the ones they had were fairly big. Plus the tank will get cramped once my RTG grows a few more inches so I'll get him a tank mate later.

Are Crown Loaches good??? or should i go with Flagtail???

Don't get a pleco, they just sit still. A flag tail or a silver dollar which will swim are good. Parrot fish will get territorial and may make him more jumpy.

Are Crown Loaches ok? Or are Flagtails better?

I have 6 clown loaches, you need a few of them or they get lonely. You need to buy them at about 3 inches if you can so the RTG won't try to eat them. They're also pretty quick, but they grow really, really slowly.
My rtg is now pushing 20" and my clown loaches all 3 to 4". The RTG has a look at them from time to time but gave up trying to catch them a long time ago.

So if I buy them crown loaches at 4 inch now the loach would be ok to grow up with my RTG? and I guess my RTG will never be fast enough to catch them huh? If soo I'm gonna go pick up a couple of loaches sometime soon probably. DO Loaches need something to hide under? cause my friend has them and i see his loaches always under a tube or a rock.

Also would i need to buy other food for loache? Flakes maybe?

Ok So I picked up a MasterTest Kit and it says my water is the following:

Ammonia 0ppm
PH 7.6
Nitrite 0ppm
Nitrate 40ppm? (The color is like orangy red almost like 40ppm but not quite)

Is the Nitrates nomal? being 40ppm?
And
I think I'll need to get 'PH Down' to lower PH just a bit. Do i need?
